chapter 3, conscious

At school, a whole bunch of kids asked what I thought about my sister getting married. I ignored them all. At lunch I zoned out while Mary chatted with Olivia and Emilee about school and cloths, and Cassidy ate her pudding, and Reed stopped to say hi and Sidney chattered in my ear, unaware I wasn't listening. I walked up the stairs toward my next class. A burning pain stabbed my arm.
"GA!" I gasped. Blood oozed out of skin. I clutch my stomach and sprinted into drama. "Mrs. Mecham." She whirled around. Her dark hair flopped behind her when swiftly step to me.
"Is something wrong?"
"Yes. I am not sure I will be able stay. I'm feeling.........bad."
"O.K." She said sent me to the front office.

I watched the sun disappear into a foggy mist. Most guests had left, but the ones who stayed, I guessed were family.
"I hope you have a good honeymoon."
"I hope so too." Lilac said kissing my head.
"Mckenna. Time to go." Mother called. I sighed and slowly trudged to the mini van.

I felt my heart sank. Was this shadow stalking me? What would it want with a messed up, plain girl that stabbed her teddy bear? (I should probably stop doing that.) Why was it starring at me of all people? It should have been starring at Kendra, My brother's red haired girl friend. Never mind, I needed to congratulate Lilac on her new life and congratulate her husband. I grabbed a big sugar cookie on my way to the reception line. I was thinking about the shadow on the hill, when a sharp squeal broke my train of thought. "Mckenna!!" Lilac squealed and pulled me into her grasp."I didn't think you would come."
"Lilac was talking about you all afternoon and she kept worrying about you." I looked up into her husband's face. His dark blue eyes where bright with laughter and smiled down at me as if he were forgiving me, happily. "I finally get to meet you. I am so sorry, I didn't greet you politely. It's a pleasure." He said bowing. Then he kissed my hand. Lilac laughed and I joined her.
"Charmed." I replied, also bowing.
"You so funny." She giggled. She patted his curly, chestnut, hair and hugged his shoulder. I smiled, sent her my wishes, and started to ponder the mystery that faced me

"Oh! My little angels!" A voice called out from outside.
"Great." I mumbled. Aunt Maire Anna was the most annoying and most dreadful aunt There was.
"Are you chicken?" Ricky asked.
"Richard! Oh my you have grown!" She sang. Ricky groaned and stepped into my aunt arms. I found a way out though the front seat. I pushed past relatives and friends looking for the food line or an exist from the eyes of mother and Aunt Maire Anna. I found some tables and some space to relax. The cold, mental fence was lined with white and pink ribbons and bows. The whole yard flowed in white. Little girls laughed and squealed as the boys chased them. I beamed at their laughter and laughed when a little girl fell in shock as she was pecked on the cheek by a dark haired boy. An other shaped appeared on the horizon. It was sitting, looking at me. I gazed at him for a while.
"Over here Mckenna!" Called Tristen's soft voice. I turned to wave and when I looked back, He was gone, just like the other.

chapter two, the wedding

We drove across golden field's of hay, and corn. We drove by piles of pumpkins that were being sold at drug stores. I watched one man pick a pumpkin as big as his daughter's little body. I sighed. I loved how the leaves change at this time of year, and I love to watch the little girls squeal when they saw the perfect pumpkin gleam and shimmer in the sun.
"Mom, did Lilac want to have a wedding so far away from home? Is it just because she hates it when I invent my "football giant" friends over?" Ricky joked. Cami slapped him on his cheek. ( she probably learned that from me.)
"Of course not silly," Cami said trying to be mom like. "She just wants us to go there so we can eat and Mr. lorly is waiting too." Mr. lordly was Lilac cat, unfortunately, it, well it died in a  laundry accident. While those three  blabbered about something I watched the mountains.a dark shape appeared. A figure stood on a small hill staring at our car, or was it looking at me? The sun blinded, and I squinted harder, but it was gone. I tried to guess what it was, but nothing came to me

7th I guess....

She glanced at the dress.
"Why not? I think it looks cute."
"Yes, It's nice, but we are not going to Lilac's funeral!"
"Your wearing it." Mother commanded. She glided back up stairs. I was so ticked that I had to wear the stupid dress, I stabbed my teddy bear with my pocket knife. It was the 4th time this week I had been this mad. So I put on the stupid dress and some black high heels. I would have put on a pearl necklace, but people wear that to funerals too. I stomped up stairs. When saw little Cami, I felt so sorry for her that I forgot my pain over my own dress. She wore a dark violet dress, that was slim on her chest all the way down to her hips and then it puffed out about 2 feet at the bottom.
"Mckenny!" She screamed stumbling over to me. She stopped half way to me, turned around, put her hips. "Mommy, why you have to make my dress so big." She pouted.
"I told you big dresses are not right little kids." said my 16 year old brother, Rich. Mom glared at him.
"Because, come on we are going to be late." She said pushing us out the door and into our light blue, mini van.

"Hi Mickey!" My little sister screamed as I walked in.
"Hey Cami, girl friend."
" I was ah school and I got to pet Mrs. Wily, the turle in my class. an I got to fee it." She said bouncing on her toes.
" You got to feed Mrs. Lily?"
"Uh-huh."
"Great" I exclaimed. She screamed thrilled and bounced away.
"Honey!" Mom yelled.
"Ya?"
"Come here please." I chucked my things at the couch. I jogged down the stairs to my room.
" What do you think of this dress. Oh its the wedding." She babbled holding up the dress. It was short and the color looked purple and black mixed together.
"I can't wear that!" I burst out jabbing my finger at it.

"Dude, are you okay? Nothing to do with the brain right?" I teased.
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Ya."
"Positive?"
"Uh-huh." She never got any of my jokes. I snorted and Bite off a chunk of apple.
"So. was up with life?" Megan panted. A shiver ran through me. Her hands were warm, and moist, and squishy.
"Did you work to hard in P.E.?" Sidney pondered.
"No I had to make plans with Adrianne, Mckenna's sister, She's the one in 7th grade. I had to sprint all around the building to find her." Why would she make plans with Adrianna? She all most never stops to chat with her. I was about to ask when it hit me. Today was the wedding, to be exact, my sisters, Lilac. Her actual name is Camellia Louise Edwards, Which would soon be changed to Camellia Louise Edwards Harrington. The bell rang shaddering my thoughts. I picked up my books and headed to drama.

"Cassidy, you bring the weirdest things." Emilee laughed.
"Hey guys." Sidney plopped down on the right of me. "Wait, wheres Megan?"
" Hi guys!!" Megan squealed. Stretched her hand up so high, I didn't believe it was possible for her. She glided through the hall. As she was about to reach us, her foot caught under her and she fell, crushing onto the white tile. She lay there on the tile. everyone was silent.
"I'm okay. Don't worry." Megan called. Olivia, Emilee, and Sidney burst out giggling like they were being madly tickled. Cassidy tried to laugh, but it came out muffled. I even let out a snicker. Megan was just, well, Megan, a spazz. Just like most of my friends. Megan's cheeks flushed with a soft pink color.

"Ewww." She giggled, watching the cheese stick to the plate. " Oh my gosh! I think it just moved!"
" You know what, I not all that hungry anymore." I said pushing the plate as far as my arms could reach."Well, what did you bring Cassidy?" She lifted the lid of her lunch box.
Pulling out a small container she said "Peanut butter." she smack her lips. " And kitkats." she added. Before I could make her feel embarrassed, Emilee came skipping into the area. Olivia tagged along be hide her.
"Hey." Emilee waved.
" Whats up people of America?" Olivia cut in. She had a stupid, smug, smile on her face like she Had won a trophy in the arts of English or something.
"What did you bring this time Cassidy?" Emilee asked staring at the brown goo. Cassidy dipped her finger in again.
